The CISO Group, LLC (The CISO Group), policies and procedures for handling 3rd party and customer information have been created realizing that the Internet and the technologies underlying it are still evolving. Internet business methods are continuing to evolve as well, capitalizing on opportunities that the changing technologies present. As a result, The CISO Group’s policies and procedures are subject to change.
In the regular course of its business, The CISO Group acquires stores and transmits customer communications and information that customers may regard as private or sensitive. This information - such as the customer's account status, services and customer information - is created and maintained by The CISO Group in the normal course of providing services. In addition, The CISO Group may store customers' email and other communications as necessary.
Data security
The CISO Group will protect the confidentiality of its customers' information, account information and personal communications to the fullest extent possible and in compliance with applicable laws and the lawful interests of The CISO Group, its partners, its employees and other customers of The CISO Groups’ services. To protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of information that is collected from customers, The CISO Group has appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures in place.
Use of information
The CISO Group will not share customer information with other customers or business partners without express consent of customers. The CISO Group may aggregate and generalize information for its own use, to help it understand current market and customer trends. The CISO Group may also use customer information to provide its customers with system information or information about new or upgraded services.
Disclosure of customer information and communications
The CISO Group will not disclose its customers' personal and account information unless The CISO Group has reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to identify, make contact with, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing harm or interfering with the rights or property of The CISO Group, The CISO Groups' customers, or others, or where The CISO Group has a good-faith belief that the law requires such disclosure.
The CISO Group also will not, except for reasons stated below, disclose to third parties the contents of any electronic mail or other electronic communications that The CISO Group stores or transmits for its customers. The circumstances under which The CISO Group will disclose such electronic customer communications are when:
* It is necessary to provide service to the customer;
* It is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of The CISO Group and its customers;
* It is required to cooperate with interception orders, warrants, or other legal process that The CISO Group determines in its sole discretion to be valid and enforceable; and
* It is necessary to provide to a law enforcement agency when the contents are inadvertently obtained by The CISO Group and appear to pertain to the commission of a crime.
The CISO Group disclaims any intention to censor, edit or engage in ongoing review or surveillance of communications stored on or transmitted through its facilities by customers or others. The CISO Group will, however, review, delete or block access to communications that may harm The CISO Group, its customers or third parties.
